Teaching and Scholarly Interests:
Jason Ciejka is a part-time Assistant Professor of Art History. He graduated with a BA summa cum laude in art history from the College of William & Mary and received an MA and PhD in Art History from Emory University. Professor Ciejka has taught at Emory University, Spelman College, and Kennesaw State University. Here at Agnes Scott he has taught the art history survey course, baroque and rococo painting, Roman spectacles, and modern architecture. His classes emphasize the intellectual, social, and political context of art. Professor Ciejka’s research area is the Italian baroque with a focus on religious architecture in papal Rome, and he hopes to convey his love of Italian art and culture in the classroom.
